I do not, CAN NOT understand the mentality of these people who believe that by disarming citizens they can decrease violence!  I feel for the victims and families of the victims of Virginia Tech, but it’s ridiculous to think that by closing the so-called “Gun Show Loophole” that they’ll be making a difference in anything.  The other guy had it right - if everyone who wanted to be was carrying a gun at Virginia Tech things would have been  a LOT different!

I’m also tired of all these bureaucrats who think they understand guns and what gun owners want to do with them.  I own AK-47’s and SKS’s - and several other rifles.  I hope to never have to shoot them at another person, but whatever may go down in the future, if it’s bad I will NOT be standing by un-armed wishing I had a gun to protect my family!

The biggest problem with this “report” is the complete failure of 60 minutes to apply any kind of logic to their report.  They start off talking about the ammo shortage and gun/ammo price increases.  They then end up basically saying that because they don’t believe Obama won’t do anything about guns right now that there must not be a reason for the shortage - or something, it’s kinda confusing.  But, they are acting like it’s silly to think any of that.  Well, the bottom line and the fact of the matter is that whether Obama and Congress want to go after guns or not, America BELIEVES that he/they will/do.  Background checks have gone up 30%, ammo is nowhere to be found, guns are doubled in price.  The reason is that all those people who thought they could just go pick up a gun if they felt the need to are suddenly realizing that they just might not be able to - and they’re doing something about it!

I’m so sick of politicians, more sick of useless news celebrities and even more sick of the lazy, worthless Americans who don’t know or understand the Constitution.

I am one of those people who has long meant to get his CCW, but until now has never found the time. However I am determined to remedy that. There are many people that advertise group CCW course rates, and a few friends and I have been planning on setting up a one. What other local geeks would be interested in this, and do you have an instructor that you prefer?

On the KSL ads, I often see rates around $25 per person, including fingerprinting and all paperwork.
